Air Quality and IoT-based Air Sensors (Workshop)

March 14, 2024

Organised in the Framework of the Internet of Thıngs Lab For Air Quality Monıtorıng.

Poor air quality is a concern in African cities, but governments have been too slow to react, one of the reasons being the scarcity of data on different pollutants. Instruments based on low-cost sensors and the Internet of Things (IoT) are being considered as solutions to evaluate the concentration of different pollutants but very little research has been done till now in Africa on this topic.

The workshop will be hosted by the Alioune Diop University in Senegal. This hands-on training will focus on the design, testing and calibration of IoT-based air sensors.
